Great video with important facts about abortion.
Women in the armed forces are now more likely to be assaulted by a fellow soldier than killed in combat.
Disturbing.
- In 1900, 19% of working-age women participated in the workforce. In 1950, it was 34%. Today that number is 60%.
- In 1900, women earned 54% of what men earn. In 1950, they earned 60%. Today that number is 77%.
We’ve come a long way?
Question mark seconded.

If you haven’t heard, today’s NY Times has an Op-Ed about Charlie Sheen and domestic violence written by yours truly. I’m loving the way the editors designed the text in the print edition around and within the graphic.
Read this.
Great article (I posted a snippet earlier thx to tragos), and kickass layout.
READ THIS. Great article that goes along with that awesome layout.
This is what everyone should be talking about Charlie Sheen for. It takes two grafs just to list out all of the abuses he has been accused of.
I hate this guy, and I hate his terrible TV show.

People can be utterly despicable. There are so many rape and sexual assault cases at the moment, it’s baffling.
Julian Assange—despite your feelings about his WikiLeaks work—is a disgusting human being if he did in fact rape two women. His defense relies on trying to diminish the definition of rape, which in and of itself is sickening (and leads me to believe he is guilty).
Rape and sexual assault should never be made light of. I hope to see good, just outcomes for all of these cases.
